Part 3 was supposed to be the last, but I got so many comments along the lines of “Man, I hate Duncan now. What an asshole” that I felt I had to redeem him.
At first I thought,
“Why all this Duncan hate all of a sudden? “ and then I realized that you of course doesn’t know what is going on in my characters’ heads.Like Niels said in the first part, Duncan is complicated. He grew up in a environment where you were either straight or gay, there was nothing in between, and if you were gay you got beat up. So his teenage years were very confusing, and he attempted suicide twice.
He’s a lot more at ease with his sexuality now, but still have weak periods were he just wants to be straight and “normal”.

I love this page. Duncan has never looked this vulnerable, and yet, he doesn't seem weak.
People tend to forget that physical strength - or even a generally sunny disposition - doesn't mean people can't hurt inside.
